About The Wash Space - Self Service Car Wash

Located at 3751 Buford Hwy NE, Atlanta, GA 30329, The Wash Space - Self Service Car Wash operates as a self-service car wash serving Atlanta in Georgia. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Car washes in the United States come in four main formats: the express tunnel, where you stay in the car while a conveyor pulls it through brushes or high-pressure jets; the full-service wash, where attendants vacuum and wipe down the interior after the tunnel; the self-service bay with a coin or card-operated pressure wand, foam brush and vacuums; and the hand wash, where a crew washes and dries the car by hand. Touchless tunnels skip the cloth brushes entirely and rely on chemicals and water pressure, which is gentler on paint but less effective on heavy grime. Most express chains sell an unlimited monthly plan, usually priced at two to three single washes, that is only worth it if you wash more than twice a month. Gas stations often bundle a discounted wash with a fill-up.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open Open 24 hours. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (404) 636-6344. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Atlanta is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

❌ be careful what you throw away, they will sort thru the trash at night. Trashed an old Amex and around midnight I guess they found it & tried charging it 🤣 otherwise good car wash use coins only! One star for being so shady.

Pretty decent car wash. I was visiting the area for work (July-August 2025), and went to this car wash multiple times (at least 4 times). The wash bays take cards. The soap, etc, never was out (I saw a few reviews of people experiencing no soap, etc). The equipment worked properly, and the pressure of the sprayer was good. The brushes are good, they're the long flexible bristles, which is what you want when washing your car. These type of brushes, the bristles colapse down. They clean your car with the length of the bristles, rather than the tips, also reaching into hard to get at spots. I've experienced better, but they're not bad at all. Despite what some people may think, the bad ones are the very full, firm brushes. They may visually look better, but they do not clean better and leave scratches. I had to mention this because I often see people complaining about the good brushes. They have no idea and think because the brush isn't full looking, that it's bad. These are the same type of people that also rarely use self-serve, and complain if they pay more than $5 to wash their cars. Very inexperienced. I have a nice car and obsessed with keeping it clean. I have tons of detailin

There were a number of things that I disliked about this business. 1) No easy access - they're located on the northbound side of Buford Hwy and there is a half mile stretch to turnaround (unsafely), 2) the 1st station (closest to the street) is missing a piece so there is no 'high pressure' anything coming out of the spray gun, 3) there are signs saying that if a card is used, the charge is $5, but my card was charged for $10 (for a little over 8 mins), and 4) once I experienced these several issues, there was no attendant to report or address said issues. A total waste of money and time. It would be better to head up the street to "Mighty Tidy" and take some cash. Each $1.75 gets you approximately 4 mins (there's no digital clock) and I was able to complete my car wash experience there after stopping for cash.

*Watch for nails before you pull into the bay.** Your standard self serve 24 hour car wash. Card or coin taken. Lit my lamps. 2 brushes and 2 hoses in each bay. Vacuums available next to wash bays.
